PART WILDERNESS
PART PARADISE

The New Parker Medical Center

Many of the folks in and around the community of Lincoln have already reached deep into their pockets to support this project and we are extremely appreciative. I also know many of you have been supporting this project in many other ways but have not been able to actually make a cash contribution - the good news is it is not too late and still very important for the entire community - so if you can find it in your heart please do so now.

As construction starts the Lincoln Hospital District (LHD) will first use the balance from the one-time federal grant, then the money we have raised within the community, and finally we will begin to draw against the construction loan at First Bank Lincoln. When the project is complete the construction loan will be paid off with permanent financing that was obtained from the USDA dept of Rural Development. The less money we have to finance the sooner we will get the loan paid off and we will be able to retire the mill levy which will reduce property taxes in Lincoln - how often do you actually see that happen these days!

So once again I am asking all of you who support and will be using the new clinic to make a donation now - either to the building fund or you can donate to help purchase special equipment that will needed at the clinic. The lincolnmontana.com website (http://lincolnmontana.com/PARKER_MEDICAL_CLINIC.html) has a list of specific items that are going to be badly needed. You may either contribute to the building fund or one of the items listed here on the website. Make your wishes known when making a contribution. Your tax deductible donation should be mailed to:

The new Parker Medical Center will not only be a state of the art facility but it will have features that will make it a huge benefit for people in the community - for example Dr's Justin Smith and Courtnay Crowell have already started setting up digital medical records, so your records can be transferred to any specialist you desire. In the new facility the X-Ray equipment will also be converted to digital and the images actually stored at St Peters Hospital in Helena which can be transferred through digital technology to doctors anywhere in the world. Parker will be the first Clinic within the CHC (Cooperative Health Center) to have this capability. The new clinic will also be able to offer the community dental service and counseling services for the first time. It is going to make good sense for everyone in Lincoln to begin using the personalized services afforded by the new Parker Medical Center for primary medical care and the sooner you have your records transferred the better.
